How do we improve life in Mumbai? For over a decade, the Bombay Greenway Foundation has explored this question, evolving from proposing large-scale, futuristic infrastructure to recognizing the profound impact of the immediate, hyperlocal environment.
We have learned that transforming a city doesn't always require grand gestures or expensive infrastructure. Often, the most significant improvements to daily life come from thoughtful design decisions applied to the spaces we use every day.
Our new exhibition, THE EVERYDAY CITY: H/W Ward Reimagined, brings this focus to the neighborhoods of Bandra, Khar, and Santacruz.
Through a curated collection of maps, detailed models, and analysis of built examples, the exhibition examines the critical components of the H/W Ward—from commuter behaviors around stations and the flow of streets, to the accessibility of parks, junctions, and public spaces.
It serves as a research case study on how simple, evidence-based design interventions can untangle complex urban knots and create a more livable public realm.
We invite citizens, planners, and the design community to engage with this work and join the conversation on reimagining our everyday city.
Exhibition Details: Dates: 12–15 February 2026 Location: Bombay Arts Society, Bandra
