GM Park (Nathani Garden)

Stepping to see the sea: a traffic island at Bandstand turned into a granite plaza with one of the best views in Mumbai.

Done with the BMC, the project turned an underused triangular traffic island into a public plaza. Granite steps face the sea, so you can sit, relax and take in the view. The existing trees were kept and joined by younger ones to give shade where it is needed, and an installation winds around the space.

Realigned roads and better pedestrian paths ease traffic, while the plaza restores the waterfront and gives the neighbourhood a place to gather.
